Postmenopausal osteoporosis is a major health problem. This presentation discusses how an 'unusual' stress fracture site in a postmenopausal woman was diagnosed. The significance of CT scanning in reaching the diagnosis and that of bone densitometry in confirming the presence of osteoporosis are highlighted.
