Pelvic inflammatory disease is an important cause of acute and chronic morbidity among women of reproductive age, and PID rates are rising. Clinical diagnosis of PID is often inaccurate, but can be improved by knowledge of risk factors and use of simple investigations. Early diagnosis and the institution of appropriate treatment regimens, including evaluation and prompt treatment of sexual partners, are essential to prevent PID's devastating sequelae.
盆腔炎是育龄期女性急慢性发病的重要原因，且盆腔炎发病率正在上升。盆腔炎的临床诊断常常不准确，但了解危险因素并采用简单的检查手段可提高诊断准确性。早期诊断以及制定恰当的治疗方案，包括对性伴侣进行评估和及时治疗，对于预防盆腔炎的严重后果至关重要。
