Primary malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the spleen is extremely rare. Only four cases have been reported so far. We report a case of primary malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the spleen and liver presenting like multiple liver and splenic abscesses. The controversy surrounding its histogenesis is discussed.
