Autologous transplantation of the ureter in the whole lengths was carried out successfully. After unilateral nephrectomy the ureter was cut from the bladder, denudated and wrapped in the omentum majus. 4 weeks after that operation revascularisation of the ureter was pronounced so that the ureter could be used for reanastomosis with the renal pelvis and the bladder on the contralateral side. One dog lived with the transplanted ureter for one year and then died during birth of 5 puppies. One dog is living now since two years and is healthy.
