In 1990, the American Nephrology Nurses' Association (ANNA) developed its Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP), an important tool that included both short and long-range goals. In order to achieve the goal of strategic planning, the working tool must be usable, flexible, and current. The following is a revision of the LRSP drafted by the ANNA Board of Directors in 1992.
