One hundred years ago, Oliver and Schäfer reported that crude extracts from the adrenal medulla produced marked physiological effects. It was the birth of adrenaline for biomedical research. The purpose of this review is to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of this discovery by briefly presenting to the readers a historical account of the major discoveries and some current ideas on the actions and mechanisms of action of this hormone and neurotransmitter.
一百年前,奥利弗和谢弗报告称,肾上腺髓质的粗提取物会产生显著的生理效应。这是生物医学研究中肾上腺素的诞生。这篇综述的目的是通过向读者简要介绍关于这种激素和神经递质的作用及作用机制的主要发现的历史记录以及一些当前观点,来纪念这一发现的100周年。
