The theoretical knowledge and practical experience necessary for the certification as a specialist are laid down in the rules for continuing medical education and are acquired during the time as a resident usually in a curricular manner. After a final exam, the formal graduation as a specialist is confirmed by handing over a specialist certificate by the society of physicians of Germany. According to the current jurisdiction (so-called "specialist" judgment by the German court of justice from March 3, 1992) and the arrangement of the self-administration, the terms "specialist quality" and "specialist certification" got a particular meaning which may not be set to equal from the medical point of view. This is demonstrated by a critical comment to the "specialist" judgment. Future problems of the specialist training in hospitals are pointed out.
专科医生认证所需的理论知识和实践经验在继续医学教育规则中有规定，通常是在住院医师期间以课程学习的方式获得。期末考试后，德国医师协会颁发专科医生证书，正式确认专科医生毕业。根据当前的管辖权（1992年3月3日德国联邦法院所谓的“专科医生”判决）和自我管理的安排，“专科医生资质”和“专科医生认证”这两个术语具有特定含义，从医学角度来看，它们不能被视为等同。这一点在对“专科医生”判决的批判性评论中得到了体现。文中还指出了医院专科医生培训未来的问题。
