Today's nurse managers face an environment where change is the only constant. Managers and staff are feeling threatened, overworked, and stressed. Career development strategies provide managers with an opportunity to assist staff to cope with change and to grow and develop professionally. The strategies described also assist managers to feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction--something hard to achieve.
