Two patients with endometrial neoplasia developed severe hyperglycemia secondary to megestrol acetate. Patients who receive progestational therapy with megestrol acetate for endometrial neoplasia should be monitored closely for potentially severe hyperglycemia, especially if they have a history of abnormal glucose metabolism.
