Abstract

Postgraduate education opportunities for registered nurses working in surgical areas are increasing. Sound course programmes are an essential prerequisite for specialist practice but require effective collaboration between education and clinical managers. This article describes the successful validation and implementation of three postgraduate surgical nursing courses in 1994.
