The kinetics of hardening of Ethacryl plastic used in making the base of removable dentures was studied by infrared spectroscopy. The authors demonstrate the potentialities of this method for a reliable control of the residual monomer influencing the physicomechanical and hygienic properties of dentures in the course of wearing.
