[Criteria for determining the degree of severity of body injuries with the presence of foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract].

The authors analyze 303 cases with foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract, discuss the rightfulness of referring such foreign bodies to corporal injuries, and validate the necessity of assessing the severity of such injuries. Opinions of forensic medical experts vary in such cases. A methodological approach and criteria for assessing the severity of corporal injuries inflicted by foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract are proposed.
