Non-metabolic complications after surgery of the thyroid gland must be known because of their specific character. Frequently not only the health but also the patient's life depend on an early and correct solution. The authors discuss different complications and recommend a solution. They conclude that satisfactory anatomical knowledge, adequate surgical training and an experienced anaesthesiologist are with regard to the frequency of complications in thyroid surgery much more important than the type of operation.
由于甲状腺手术后非代谢性并发症的特殊性，必须对其有所了解。通常情况下，不仅患者的健康，甚至其生命都取决于能否早期且正确地解决这些并发症。作者讨论了不同的并发症并推荐了应对方法。他们得出结论，就甲状腺手术并发症的发生率而言，令人满意的解剖学知识、充分的手术训练以及经验丰富的麻醉师比手术方式更为重要。
