Abstract
In summary, while we applaud the concept of guidelines to assist therapeutic decisions, we believe that the New Zealand guidelines do not reflect the optimal management of hypertension in New Zealand. Furthermore, we express our concerns about the apparent change in the agenda of the Core Services Committee.
