[A trial of the use of the immunocorrective preparation Imunofan for treating diphtheria].

Peptide immunocorrector Imunofan was used as adjuvant to conventional treatment. A single intramuscular injection was given daily for 8-10 days (I ml of 0.005% solution). In patients with advanced and toxic diphtheria Imunofan reduced the occurrence of specific complications and lethality fell 4.1-4.8-fold. Imunofan is also recommended for patients with allergic reaction to diphtheria antitoxin.
