Abstract

A 70-year-old man and a 52-year-old man each presented with a painless extratesticular, intrascrotal mass. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a cystic mass and was the most useful modality for the diagnosis. Complete excisions were performed, and the lesions were histologically diagnosed as epidermoid cysts. Intrascrotal, extratesticular epidermoid cysts are uncommon lesions believed to be teratomas or the result of abnormal embryological closure of the median raphe. However, it is difficult to explain the etiology of some masses by either of these mechanisms.

一名70岁男性和一名52岁男性均表现为阴囊内无痛性睾丸外肿块。磁共振成像显示为囊性肿块，是诊断最有用的检查方式。进行了完整切除，病变经组织学诊断为表皮样囊肿。阴囊内睾丸外表皮样囊肿是罕见病变，被认为是畸胎瘤或中缝异常胚胎闭合的结果。然而，通过这两种机制中的任何一种都难以解释某些肿块的病因。
