Four of a series of 40 patients who underwent the Nissen fundoplication to correct reflux oesophagitis developed gastric ulceration 24, 22, 15 and 13 months respectively after the procedure. The gastric ulceration is attributed to bile reflux, and the original oesophagitis to "alkaline" reflux. When severe oesophagitis results from "alkaline" reflux, a Roux-en-Y bile diversion operation with vagotomy and fundoplication should be considered.
40例行nissen胃底折叠术以纠正反流性食管炎的患者中有4例，分别在术后24、22、15和13个月出现胃溃疡。胃溃疡归因于胆汁反流，而最初的食管炎归因于“碱性”反流。当“碱性”反流导致严重食管炎时，应考虑行Roux-en-Y胆汁转流术加迷走神经切断术和胃底折叠术。
