[Effectiveness of free and liposomal forms of platinum and anthracycline antibiotics for hepatic metastasis of GA-1 and P-388 tumors in mice].

Liposome-entrapped platinum and anthracycline antibiotics showed similar advantages over their free forms in both experimental runs in being less toxic and more effective as a means of metastasis control. Since individual tumors differ in their sensitivity to different drugs, it might be suggested that liposomal forms of platinum coordination complexes may contribute to the hepatic metastasis drugs stockpile.
