To assess alpha-1-antitrypsin concentration in blood serum of patients with melanoma of the choroid.
35 patients (14 women and 21 men) were examined. The control group comprised 12 healthy persons. Tests of alpha-1-antitrypsin level were performed using immunologicresponse produced by diagnostic antibodies with the antigen present in the studied seru. Behring Nor-Partigen platelets were used for determinations. The results were statistically analysed using Cohran-Cox test.
The investigations have shown, in patients with melanoma of the choroid, the level of alpha-1-antitrypsin amounts, on the average, to 296 75.5 mg/dl. In the control group, however, it was 219 50.1 mg/dl. The statistical significance was p < 0.001.
A considerably higher level of glycoprotein in patients with melanoma of the choroid suggests the usefulness of determining alpha-1-antitrypsinlevel on recognising neoplasms of the visual system.
评估脉络膜黑色素瘤患者血清中的α-1抗胰蛋白酶浓度。

脉络膜黑色素瘤患者中糖蛋白水平显著更高，这表明测定α-1抗胰蛋白酶水平对识别视觉系统肿瘤有用。
