[Knee-ligaments--operation and functional postoperative care (author's transl)].

After surgical repair of ruptured knee-ligaments the patients have a functional treatment with the help of a limited-mobilization cast (LMC). Flexion from 20 to 60 degrees exerts no tension on the knee-ligaments. Damage to the cartilage by immobilisation can be prevented, the frequency of post-traumatic arthrosis reduced.
