[A standard immunoenzyme test system for detecting antibodies to the causative agent of tuberculosis: the means for its utilization in tuberculosis control work].

A new standard immunodiagnosticum made in Russia has been tested as a main method of total screening of population sample (32587 citizens of the Novgorod Region). The resultant tuberculosis detection rate was not inferior to x-ray findings. More than one-third of the diagnosed cases had bronchial tuberculosis hardly detectable by x-rays. A new three-stage scheme of early diagnosis of tuberculosis has been developed.
