Abstract
Virilization occurring in the postmenopausal woman may be either adrenal or ovarian in origin. We describe the case of a 74-year-old postmenopausal woman with severe virilization and a serum testosterone level elevated into the male range who was found to have a non-malignant aetiology for her condition.
