The pediatric organ donor presents some special management problems not generally seen in the adult organ/tissue donor. The psychological and emotional impact of working with a pediatric donor many times differs significantly from the adult donor scenario, but can be a rewarding experience for the nurse and organ procurement specialist (OPS).
