Abstract

Rigid internal fixation using mini/microplates has become a frequent application in craniomaxillofacial surgery. To make plate fixation easier and reduce surgical time, the TM HAKEN plate, a kind of microplate, was devised and applied to craniofacial surgery. Advantages and indications of this plate are virtually the same as those of microplates of other types. And it permits positive fixation of artificial bone firmly without causing damage. We believe that the TM HAKEN plate serves as an excellent adjunct in craniofacial surgery.
