[Report about a 10 years old boy in whom a tumour of the thyroid gland was diagnosed by means of clinical and scintigraphic findings. The tumour was surgical removed, the microscopic examination revealed the tumour to be a sarcoma of the thyroid gland. To our knowledge this is the first report of this kind of tumour in childhood. The problems regarding this tumour, especially the treatment are discussed].
