Abstract

The use of ultrasound tomography for the study of the posterior cranial fossa through intact bones of the skull permits to detect the contour of the cerebellar hemispheres. A scanning of the operational defect of the occipial bone allows one to determine the echotographical structure of the posterior cranial fossa and the adjacent area in a 2 plane picture which is easily correlated with the anatomical sawing of the head in the same plane. It was also possible to eliminate the contours of a recurrent cystous tumour of the cerebellum. The clinical results are correlated with the data of autopsies in experimental studies. The authors are of the opinion that the method of echoencephalotomography during surgical operations of the posterior cranial fossa is quite perspective.

利用超声断层扫描技术通过完整的颅骨来研究颅后窝,能够检测出小脑半球的轮廓。对枕骨手术缺损部位进行扫描,可在二维图像中确定颅后窝及相邻区域的超声图像结构,该图像与同一平面内头部的解剖锯切情况易于关联。此外,还能够消除小脑复发性囊肿肿瘤的轮廓。临床结果与实验研究中的尸检数据相关。作者认为,在颅后窝手术中采用脑回波断层扫描法颇具前景。
