Abstract
Description of a method by which routine tests for pregnancy can be performed in sows at an early stage using ultrasonic apparatus. A calculation model based on field studies shows that this method of testing used as a routine procedure is mainly of importance on those pig-breeding farms on which the quality of fertility is doubtful.
