Surface fixation has been used to detect antigen antibody-reactions with bacteria, protozooa and in some instances with drugs considered responsible of adverse reactions attributed to allergy. The application of this method to penicillin is reported. The test has been positive with serum from well-proven cases of hypersensitivity but also in subjects that had undergone penicillin treatment. So far, no comparative observations with conventional tests have been made; however, if the presence of circulating antibody is considered the cause of adverse reactions to penicillin, this simple test may have clinical usefulness.
表面固定法已用于检测与细菌、原生动物以及某些被认为是过敏所致不良反应的药物之间的抗原抗体反应。本文报道了该方法在青霉素检测中的应用。该检测方法在已证实的超敏反应病例血清中呈阳性，在接受过青霉素治疗的受试者中也呈阳性。到目前为止，尚未与传统检测方法进行比较观察；然而，如果认为循环抗体的存在是青霉素不良反应的原因，那么这个简单的检测方法可能具有临床应用价值。
