From 1960-1975 528 patients suffering from erysipelas were treated at the department of dermatology in Mannheim. The relative as well as the absolute incidence of erysipelas increased markedly during this period. There was also a considerable rise in the number of more seriously diseased, therapy-resistent cases. Microbiological studies must be conducted to find an explication for these phenomena.
1960年至1975年期间，曼海姆皮肤科收治了528例丹毒患者。在此期间，丹毒的相对发病率和绝对发病率均显著上升。病情较重、抗治疗的病例数量也有相当幅度的增加。必须进行微生物学研究以解释这些现象。
