Abstract
  1. Projective methods can be valuable for assessment and treatment when working with sexually abused children and adolescents. 2. In the clinical application of projective methods, the child or adolescent sets the pace for the therapeutic process and progress. 3. Clinical work with victims of sexual abuse should focus not only on the therapeutic issues linked to the abuse itself, but on the needs of the child or adolescent as a whole person.
