We present the findings in a man with longstanding airway obstruction attributed to chronic obstructive bronchopulmonary disease. After hospitalization, a tracheal hamartoma was found and resected, without complications. Symptoms of chronic airway obstruction can cause the physician to treat medically a surgically curable lesion.
