Vaginal cytology is a commonly used method for diagnosis of sexual cycle phases in the rat, but all staining techniques are time consuming. A simple, easy and fast technique is reported here, that is based upon the use of a Lugol solution that allows precise identification of the sexual cycle day of the rat. Following this technique, samples are taken at 8:00 a.m. and a smear is made on the glass slide adding one drop of Lugol solution. This preparation is covered and seen directly under the optic microscope.
阴道细胞学是诊断大鼠性周期阶段常用的方法，但所有染色技术都很耗时。本文报道了一种简单、易行且快速的技术，该技术基于使用鲁戈氏溶液，可精确识别大鼠的性周期日。按照此技术，于上午8:00采集样本，在载玻片上制作涂片并加入一滴鲁戈氏溶液。将此制剂盖上盖玻片后直接在光学显微镜下观察。
