The paper presents an approach to standardizing the methodical and technical aids used for qualitative and quantitative instrumental assessment of some human higher cortical functions in health and in disease. The formulated approach and some experience in developing and using instrumental tools to examine higher nervous performance enable one to define the basic characteristics and parameters to be standardized.
