The author report on a manic depressive patient 66 years old which dysplayed aphasic troubles during depressive phase. As the patient was left handed and considering recent development in hemispheric specialisation, this trouble can be viewed as indicating a right hemisphere disturbance which is likely to be involved in the affective disorder.
