The weight of adult brains (age range: 19-100 years) obtained from 3967 consecutive necropsies performed over a period of ten years at the Hospital General del Sur of Maracaibo, are reviewed. The analysis of the weight of 1215 g in males, whereas the men brain weight in females was 1122 g. The encephalic weight decreases with age, diminishing rapidly after age 65 in males, and age 75 un females.
回顾了在马拉开波市南方总医院连续十年间进行的3967例尸检所获得的19至100岁成年人脑重量。分析显示男性脑重量为1215克，而女性脑重量为1122克。脑重量随年龄增长而下降，男性在65岁后迅速下降，女性在75岁后迅速下降。
