Maintenance immunosuppression in solid organ transplantation has been restricted to three drugs for many years, corticosteroids, azathioprine and cyclosporine. There has been need for more selective drugs with better ratio of efficacy to side effects. During the last decade a variety of new immunosuppressive agents has been under development and some of them are now at hand.
多年来，实体器官移植中的维持性免疫抑制一直局限于三种药物，即皮质类固醇、硫唑嘌呤和环孢素。一直需要有更多疗效与副作用比例更佳的选择性药物。在过去十年中，多种新型免疫抑制剂一直在研发中，其中一些现已可供使用。
