Abstract
Main works of D.K. Belyaev on genetic and evolutionary aspects of behavior are reviewed. Principal trends in development of this problem in modern science are considered. The role of Darwinian evolution in formation of human and animal behavior and evolutionary significance of behavior are discussed.
