[Effect of intravenous diazepam (Faustan) on EEG focal disturbances].

The influence of intravenous administration of diazepam (Faustan) on focal e.e.g. changes was checked in 34 patients. Bioelectric functional disturbances may remain unchanged, may be provoked or abolished; apparently etiological aspects are not decisive. According to the authors' results, the value of this provocation method for the differentiation of space-occupying intracranial processes and cerebrovascular disturbances should be regarded with caution.
