The blood vessels of the medulla oblongata and pons are arranged into anterior (medial), lateral, and posterior groups. Particular part of the brain receive also blood from several sides (medial, lateral, posterior) what secures rich capillary net and vascular loops. Venous blood is drained by veins running in the same directions. The richest capillary nets are found within brain stem nuclei. The cerebellum is supplied by three cerebellar arteries.
