A brief description of the fish condition indices is provided together with proper formulae, and examples of their application in parasitological studies. Author argues that, since some indices react comparatively slowly upon parasite-induced stress, and some respond quite rapidly, a whole set of indices should be used in order to provide researchers with complete picture of fish-parasite interactions.
文中提供了鱼类状况指数的简要描述及其相应公式，以及它们在寄生虫学研究中的应用实例。作者认为，由于一些指数对寄生虫引起的应激反应相对较慢，而另一些则反应很快，因此应使用一整套指数，以便为研究人员提供鱼类与寄生虫相互作用的全貌。
