The effect of glutaurine on the development of amphibian larvae with inhibited RNA and protein synthesis.

1. Glutaurine (gamma-L-glutamyl-taurine) isolated from bovine parathyroid and later synthetized retards the metamorphosis of Rana arvalis. 2. From day 13 of treatment glutaurine moderates the metamorphosis inhibiting effect of antibiotics acting at the transcription and translation level.
