[Statistical methods applied in retrospective risk assessment of endometrial adenocarcinoma occurrence].

A retrospective study about frequency of occurrence of endometrial adenocarcinoma in postmenopausal women which are associated with diabetes mellitus, overweight and hypertension was performed. The aim of the study was to have risk factors for carcinoma of endometrium estimated. The nonparametric statistics such as: 2 x 2 table chi 2/Phi2 test, observed versus expected chi 2 test and estimation of relative risk were applicable. A retrospective study (from 1991 to 1993) of 2887 patients of Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology University School of Poznań with pathological sign and symptoms was performed.
