[Chemodectoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses].

A rare case of chemodectoma of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is presented. Chemodectoma are unusual tumours arising in specialized tissue probably of neural cres origin. The patient underwent surgery with total removal of the tumour. The presence of such a tumour raises questions as to the origin of such specialized tissue within the nose and paranasal sinuses.
