An unusual case of nonhealing necrotizing gingivostomatitis in a 66-year-old man is described. Microscopic examination of biopsy material showed an infiltrate of Langerhans cells. Merely oral lesions of Langerhans cell granulomatosis--especially in an old person--occur very seldom.
