Better structural imaging of the liver with blood vessels can be achieved using the Gray-scale technique which delineates pathological processes better than the conventional B-scan-method. This technique enables a reliable diagnosic information. Due to its non-invasive character it can be utilized as a screening method or as an alternative or complementary examination to invasive methods.
