[Rationale for the right-side puncture of the subclavian vein in patients undergoing heart surgery].

Based on the study of the literature data and personal author's clinical material (682 punctures) the author was able to reveal the advantages of repeated left-sided puncture of the subclavian vein. An attempt is made to systematize complications relative to this procedure, depending on the side of puncturing in cardiosurgical patients.
