PURPOSE
To report a case of metastasis to the iris from endometrial carcinoma.
METHOD
Case report. A 67-year-old woman with a history of endometrial carcinoma and local recurrence after surgery presented 11 months later with two yellow-pink nodules on the iris of the right eye.
RESULTS
Systemic medical evaluation demonstrated no other metastases. The iris tumors were removed surgically, and histology demonstrated adenocarcinoma consistent with endometrial carcinoma.
CONCLUSIONS
Endometrial carcinoma can metastasize to the iris. This possibility should be considered because the frequency of endometrial carcinoma is increasing.
目的
报告1例子宫内膜癌转移至虹膜的病例。
方法
病例报告。一名67岁女性，有子宫内膜癌病史且术后局部复发，11个月后右眼虹膜出现两个黄粉色结节。
结果
全身医学评估未发现其他转移灶。手术切除虹膜肿瘤，组织学检查显示为与子宫内膜癌相符的腺癌。
结论
子宫内膜癌可转移至虹膜。鉴于子宫内膜癌发病率不断上升，应考虑到这种可能性。
