[Clinical characteristics, selection of the method and results of treatment of nonspecific spontaneous pneumothorax].

Under observation were 144 patients, aged from 16 to 74 years, examined and treated for nonspecific spontaneous pneumothorax observed in 161 cases. Most patients (96) were under 40. The development of pneumothorax in most of them might be related with previously suffered diseases of the respiratory tract and lung. The clinical picture of spontaneous pneumothorax and its therapy are described.
