Abstract

Hydrophobic characteristics of phenothiasine 10-acyl derivatives obtained by alkaline hydrolysis of native compounds permit their separation from native phenothiasine 10-alkyl derivatives during re-extraction from organic phase by 0.5 N solution of sulfuric acid. Separation of the two main groups of phenothiasine derivatives during the re-extraction phase improves the specificity of their further detection by thin-layer chromatography, spectrophotometry, and staining reactions.
