Abstract

A 86-year-old woman presented with a cardiac tumor occupying the whole cavity of the right ventricle and causing right ventricular outflow obstruction. A percutaneous ultrasound-guided biopsy was performed and histologic examination revealed a metastasis of a malignant fibrous histiocytoma. Because of the extensive cardiac involvement and multiple pulmonary metastases, effective surgical therapy was not possible and the patient died soon after diagnosis.

一名86岁女性患者，其心脏肿瘤占据右心室整个腔室并导致右心室流出道梗阻。进行了经皮超声引导下活检，组织学检查显示为恶性纤维组织细胞瘤转移。由于心脏广泛受累及多发肺转移，无法进行有效的手术治疗，患者在诊断后不久死亡。
